Emma: A Victorian Romance
is a bitter sweet historical romantic anime which took place of 19th
century England. The story is about a forbidden love between a young
gentleman and a maid.This anime was an adaptation from manga with the
same title, by Kaoru Mori. The anime have 2 season with 12 episodes each; Emma : A Victorian Romance and Emma : The Second Act.
Characters :
Emma : A maid who work at a retired governess's house;
Kelly Stowner. Often get confessions but end up rejecting every single
of them until she meet a young gentleman from the House of Jones;
William Jones. She's good at cooking and do house chores but she had a
very bad sight even when she wear hes glasses. When William offer her to
buy a new glasses, she refuse it because she love the glasses which was
given to her by her employer.
William Jones : A young gentleman with mischievous attitude but
have a warm heart. Fall in love with Emma right after their first
meeting at Kelly Stowner's house. As an elder son, he has a big
responsibility to become heir of Jones and his father is very strict
toward him, because of his hope to rise up Jones into gentry. Although
his father against his relationship with Emma, he still love Emma and
still want to be with her, even after he get engaged with Eleanor
Campbell; a daughter of viscount.
